These charms are certainly cute - and the photo provided is accurate.

I was expecting a little bit higher quality for the price - as these are priced higher than most wine charms I've looked at. That being said - they are still cute, functional, and I like the clasp on them so they don't fall off the wine glasses.

We currently live in France, a country where wine is etched into the national consciousness. We invited some French friends over to compare Australian and French wines of the same grape varieties (chardonnay, cabernet, merlot), but didn't have enough Riedel glasses to go around. Some of us were consistently rating wines lower - and then we realised that they had the non-Riedel glasses. A quick tour of the table with the same wine in the two types of glass convinced everybody of the merits of this glassware. A TIP ON WASHING: one pain is the need to hand-wash these glasses. A sommelier gave us the tip that to avoid breaking Riedels while washing, do not hold the stem to turn the glass while cleaning it. Hold the whole bowl with one hand, while using a wash cloth with the other.

Review of Riedel Vinum Port Glasses, Set of 6

I just picked up eight of these (Riedel 416/60) and found them to be the least well made Riedel Vinum glasses I've seen. Four of the eight stems had clearly visible casting lines down into the foot, and you could feel the ridge on all but one or two of the glasses.
I am also not fond of the large logo spelling out RIEDEL on the bottom of the glass.I didn't even like the smaller initials they used to use.I want to think about what I'm drinking; I don't need to be reminded who made the stemware.
Like the other Riedel glasses, the port glasses are extremely well balanced.For a glass so short with such a relatively large bowl, a thick, heavy foot is required for balance compared to the other glasses, which get away with relatively thin and light feet due to the leverage of longer stems and wider feet.Like their prestige cuvee champagne glasses, Riedel's port glasses are heavy, which feels nice in the hand, like good silver.
The Riedel port glasses are the preferred shape for port, and can be used for other port-like drinks such as Banyuls (which is a relatively inexpensive, long-lived, grenache-noir-based fortified wine that's worth seeking out, especially for pairing with chocolate).I also use the port glasses for dessert wines of all kinds.This matches what I see in restaurants worldwide and works well for me, even if Riedel has a series of other recommendations for various dessert wines. Riedel's least expensive line of glassware labels this shape simply as "spirits", so it's not a stretch to put them into service for whisky, cognac, etc.
Like all other heavy lead content crystal (24% here), be very careful washing them.Scratchy sponges, abrasive cleaner, grit in the sink, etc., will leave marks.

I love wine and have several types of stemware, including Riedel, so was very curious--although sceptical--when I first read about Eisch's "breathable" glasses.After trying these Bordeaux glasses with several wines now and comparing to my Riedel, I have to say I am very impressed and surprised by how well they work.Flavors and smells really open up very quickly in these glasses--yes, as if they'd been decanted for a much longer period of time.The difference is noticeable within a couple of minutes.Other glasses are still fine if you do, in fact, decant, but these Eisch are wonderful for providing quick results.The glass is not quite as thin as Riedel and I might prefer the lip feel a tiny bit more with the Riedel, but I'll probably be drinking out of the Eisch more.Just FYI, for those also comparing: The two Bordeaux glasses (Riedel Vinum and Eisch Vino Nobile) look very similar and are virtually identical in height. [BTW, look for a deal at napacabs.]

Very nice-looking glasses at a very affordable price. They are thicker than crystal but look great and you can put them in a dishwasher.

Here's some useful specs: The glass weighs a little more than 7 ounces, total height is 9.75" with the bowl a little over 5.5", holding 6 ounces although you'll be pouring about half of that, with them looking "full". Stem and base is 4.25". The top of the glass is 2.625" in diameter, the foot (or base) of the glass is 3" in diameter.

We ordered these for our last New Year's Eve party and I could not be happier. I am one of those people who get sweaty hands just thinking of delicate glass products such as expensive wine and champagne glasses - I remember using the Rosenthal wine glasses we received for our wedding for the first time and pretty much immediately breaking one because it slightly hit the side of the sink while I rinsed it.

Introduce the Schott Zwiesel Tritan - THE solution for klutzes like me! Accidentally hit the glass on the sink - the glass remains intact, put it in the dishwasher - it comes out unharmed. Wow. You can even bang two glasses together 'relatively' hard (think guests that have had one or two too many and cannot judge their strength that well anymore :-)) and nothing happens! Wow.

As to the style, I really like the simple, no frills shape of the Diva collection as I am not one for etchings or crystal cuts, etc. These go with any style and that makes them even more useful. A great buy and really not too expensive if taking the reduced breakability into account. With other glasses, chances are I would have to replace them much more often so I am very satisfied with this purchase and wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Very pleased with the items but if you read the description it states there are 12 plates.That is a very good value at the $24.98 price and ordered two sets.Was disappointed when they came in and there were only 6 in each box.The plan was to break up the sets to create 24 separate wine themed gift baskets for 24 friend and now only have 1/2 of what I need.Very misleading and disappointing.Whoever is responsible for writing and proofreading the ad (Target or Amazon) should be responsible for making good on the ad by sending me two more sets and then correcting the ad so others won't be misled.

This was one of the first Riedel glasses I bought. I've done many, many tests on how wine tastes differently in various glass options and in different situations. Riedel is one of the tests that is easy for even beginning drinkers to see the difference in. The flavor is *amazingly* different when you compare the exact same wine in a Riedel glass vs normal wine glasses.
Even if you buy inexpensive wines, you will get much more enjoyment out of them with this glassware compared to other options. If you are buying mid-range wines, the difference will blow you away. Think of the Riedel glass as allowing you to see what the wine in your bottle *really* was meant to taste like.
This is a great first glass for white wine drinkers to buy, because it is fantastic for Chardonnays of all price ranges. In addition, you can use the Chardonnay glass for a number of other white wine types, and find it greatly enhances the flavor for them all. If you're a white wine fan, definitely give these a try!

I was looking for martini glasses as a gift for my father.I wanted ones that fit easily in the dishwasher, so I ordered these.I did not get a chance to measure them at Christmas at my parents, but they were certainly quite a bit taller than 6.4 inches shown in the description, as they were not close to being the same height as other glasses I have that are 6.5 inches and fit upright in my dishwasher.Other than that they were very nice with a fairly large bowl.Would have given them 5 stars if the dimensions had been correct.They are a good value if you don't care about the height.(my parents are going to wash them laying sideways in the dishwasher)

Review of Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal Stemware Cru Classic Collection, Set of 6

I disagree with the first reviewer.I have always had Riedel Vinum, but once I saw the Forte set (not the cru classic) I decided to try them.Yes the Riedel is thinner in some places, but the Forte shape is EXACTLY the same as the Bordeaux Riedel Vinum's Bordeaux.These glasses are much sturdier. I do not have to worry about my wife washing them, she has broken all my Riedels.These can even be put in a dish washer ! (shudder).

Unfortunately, Amazon's price is out of whack, even with free prime shipping.Most reputable places, like K&L Wines have them for $15 less.
