Review of Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal Diva Collection

We ordered these for our last New Year's Eve party and I could not be happier. I am one of those people who get sweaty hands just thinking of delicate glass products such as expensive wine and champagne glasses - I remember using the Rosenthal wine glasses we received for our wedding for the first time and pretty much immediately breaking one because it slightly hit the side of the sink while I rinsed it.

Introduce the Schott Zwiesel Tritan - THE solution for klutzes like me! Accidentally hit the glass on the sink - the glass remains intact, put it in the dishwasher - it comes out unharmed. Wow. You can even bang two glasses together 'relatively' hard (think guests that have had one or two too many and cannot judge their strength that well anymore :-)) and nothing happens! Wow.

As to the style, I really like the simple, no frills shape of the Diva collection as I am not one for etchings or crystal cuts, etc. These go with any style and that makes them even more useful. A great buy and really not too expensive if taking the reduced breakability into account. With other glasses, chances are I would have to replace them much more often so I am very satisfied with this purchase and wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Review of Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal Classico Collection

I was looking for martini glasses as a gift for my father.I wanted ones that fit easily in the dishwasher, so I ordered these.I did not get a chance to measure them at Christmas at my parents, but they were certainly quite a bit taller than 6.4 inches shown in the description, as they were not close to being the same height as other glasses I have that are 6.5 inches and fit upright in my dishwasher.Other than that they were very nice with a fairly large bowl.Would have given them 5 stars if the dimensions had been correct.They are a good value if you don't care about the height.(my parents are going to wash them laying sideways in the dishwasher)

Review of Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal Stemware Cru Classic Collection, Set of 6

I disagree with the first reviewer.I have always had Riedel Vinum, but once I saw the Forte set (not the cru classic) I decided to try them.Yes the Riedel is thinner in some places, but the Forte shape is EXACTLY the same as the Bordeaux Riedel Vinum's Bordeaux.These glasses are much sturdier. I do not have to worry about my wife washing them, she has broken all my Riedels.These can even be put in a dish washer ! (shudder).

Unfortunately, Amazon's price is out of whack, even with free prime shipping.Most reputable places, like K&L Wines have them for $15 less.

Review of Schott Zwiesel Tritan Crystal Forte Collection

If you have ever wondered if the right glass can enhance your enjoyment of a good wine, try these. I had a nice collection of riedel stemware and they were amazing in form and function, but I guess I am stone-fisted. I have broken at least 3 hand-washing them. I even wondered if my singing might have contributed. Don't get me wrong, I try to take good care of delicate things. I even do microsurgery so I can have a light touch when necessary, but come on! After breaking my last glass, I opted to give these a try. I bought the big bowls for my big reds, some smaller bowls for my pinot, and the taller version for my whites (rarely used,but nice to have when needed). The larger proportions and less than optimal geometry were a concern, but that has been more than offset by their durability. I have owned these 18 glasses for more than 2 years now and despite our bumps, clinks, even a few shocking knock overs onto the granite counter-top, they have survived. The glasses perform well with a range of different wines and their durability surpasses anything I have experienced. Well done on a great product!
