This is a wonderful piece.Good heavy duty craftmanship.Easy instructions and it looks nice hanging with several glasses.
I saw this work this weekend at a Silicon Valley kitchen warming party. Everyone watched with glee as this particular German's toy sprayed the wine out of approx. eight small holes at its base and turned the symetrical two bottle decanter red with my excellent 1999 Benziger Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. The large oversized screen allowed more wine to flow around sediment and was easy to remove and clean. This is made of a quality stainless steel and will last for years in shinny brilliance. My wife bought a funnel at William Sonoma the next week. It has a small one inch stem spot welded onto a small screen. It fell off before its first use. I took it back and started my search on Amazon the next day for the real thing. I highly recommend this 1st class product. WichmanGallery
This little product is great for the occasional champagne drinker, it clamps over the opening keeping the fizzy in your bubbly until your deady to come back to it.I have found that due to the stopper can be used to re-seal a bottle about three times before there simply is not enough carbination left to re-presurize the bottle, but this little tool lets you put away your champange and have it still be good when you come back to it.
I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend and he says he really likes it.I have not seen it yet (he lives in another state) but trust his opinion.Great, speedy delivery.Thanks!
This product works great.I would have preferred one that had something above the cork so I could be sure it wouldn't fly off, but if you hold this securely you get a "no fly" cork.You still get bubbles though so stay near the sink!
I bought this hanging wine rack, and although I wasn't able to install it as intended (my ceiling joists were not centered over where I wanted it to hang), I love it!My solution was to mount two sturdy tension rods between cabinet sets (over the kitchen sink) and loop the chains on the tension rods.It worked perfectly and actually I feel its more sturdy than hanging from hooks on the ceiling now. 
This is a sturdy and attractive nutcracker.Requires some strength, as expected, but overall worth the reasonable cost.
This olive pitter pinches your fingers! It is awful! I have thin fingers, but somehow the meat on my pointer gets caught between the metal pieces when I squeeze it closed! Ouch!!!
Erik was right.He is not "advocating bad physics".The pressure function of this product does not preserve the ability of the wine to make bubbles after you pour it, any better than an extremely airtight stopper.See for example the Pedrini champagne stopper sold here on Amazon.So this product works, but not because you pump air into the bottle with it.It works because it lets no CO2 out.You cannot keep CO2 in solution by increasing the air pressure inside the bottle.CO2 will always diffuse out into the space above the wine.The amount of CO2 dissolved in the wine stabilizes only when there is enough CO2 above the liquid so that it enters and leaves solution at the same rate (equilibrium).The pressure of the other gases above the wine does not prevent the CO2 from entering or leaving solution.This is known as Henry's Law.An unopened champagne bottle has 3 or 4 atmospheres of CO2 gas (produced by yeast after bottling) above the wine.So unless you pump it with 3 or 4 atm of CO2 and let it sit awhile, it will never be as fizzy as when you opened it.Nitrogen and oxygen are about 10 times less soluble in water than CO2, so you would need 30 or 40 atm of pressure to get the same amount of gas into the wine!
I liked this item. Its very durable and seals bottles well. I think its a bit expensive though so I am not sure if I would buy it again.
I purchased this opener thru Amazon.com and upon its very first use it broke.Normally I would return a broken product but with today's postal rates, it will cost me close to the purchase price to return it.I am posting this so you can learn from my lesson and buy for QUALITY not for the cheap price.You get what you pay for!
I was looking for something to fit under a standard kitchen cabinet with a 12" depth and this one did a perfect job. Looks great and holds all types of stemware.The chrome is a nice touch as well.
There are few other viable ways of cooling a bottle down quickly that are this effortless. Slide the sleeve on (stick in freezer or not), wait, cork, and drink.
