It took me a while to warm to this waiters corkscrew as I am reasonably adept with a classic waiters corkscrew. The foil cutter works very nicely with a turn of the wrist and the teflon coated corkscrew itself very quickly and easily bores into a cork. This Oenophiliacorkscrew is both sturdily made and very nicely finished and designed.It differs from a classic corkscrew in that there is a small hook which you need to engage over the bottle lip. You then push down on the handle to open your wine bottle.This process takes a bit of learning and coordination but less so than a classic corkscrew.Overall this is a very nice wine/kitchen gift/gadget which I enjoy using.
