Review of Grand Cru 4200 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit (Black) (Max Room Size = 1000 Cu Ft

I replaced a Kool Space unit with the Grand Cru 4200 yesterday.I'm already called to send it back.It runs constantly for 90 minutes (regardless of whether the room needs cooling; the fan will just run if the temp is right) with a 5 minute pause.I've called and that is how the unit is designed.

This wouldn't be all that bad if it weren't so LOUD.You have to raise your voice to talk over the noise.It sounds like the compressor/fan of a refrigerator left open just 10 times louder and constant.

Everything else about the unit seems great.Looks nice and sturdy, cools like a champ, nice digital temp read out, etc.But there's no way I can live with the noise level.

The company is sending me another unit.Maybe this one has a bad fan or compressor that makes it so loud.
