Finally, I've been waiting for this to come out.The design compliments the vine areator very well.I considered building a stand to hold the aerator but I don't think I could of done a better job at the same cost.Great product, works perfectly and looks great.You'll be able to fit nearly all wine glasses under it although if you use the really short kind, you may want to lift the glass up to the spout - not that big of an issue. I would reccommend it to anyone w/the vinturi wine areator.

Just got the set of 4 and they are great, ready for wrapping up for gifts (and keeping one for myself). FYI: I saw the negative review about the cracks in the plastic, so I wanted to clarify for people:

The cracks are normal for the Vinturi, and are described in the pamphlet accompanying the item.This pressure release crack is resultant from the glass blowing process during the manufacture, and it common to all Vinturis.

I was very excited about the product because sometimes I noticed big improvement of wine taste they are aerated, but I rarely have the time to decant wine.So this seems a perfect solution.

So I did a good number of blind tasting of about 4 wines.For two of the four wines, my friend and I could tell the improvement of taste--smoother and richer in flavor.Four the others, we couldn't tell the difference.

So it seems it works for some wines but not other.

There is a trick to improve the effect of aeration--pour the wine quickly so there is more wine accumulated in the funnel, which increases the fluid pressure and draws in more air.This requires a bit practice, but seems to improve the effect of aeration for me.I prefer the aeration to be on the stronger side.

I bought the pair of these (for red and white wines) because Amazon's price for a bundle was very good. So, when they arrived, I grabbed a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine and did some taste comparisons with the wife. We tasted a wine before and after aerating. I have to say, if nothing else, these things are very entertaining. When you pour wine into the top and it comes out the bottom into your wine glass, the wine bubbles loudly and it makes you laugh - very entertaining for a party. The difference is very noticeable. Wine run through the aerator is smoother and has more flavor. Nobody has ever guessed wrong about whether a wine was aerated or not. The quality of wine affects how the aerator works. A really bad wine may become drinkable, but don't expect it to become even good. On the other hand, a mediocre wine can become quite drinkable. So, your mileage will vary, but you should taste the difference clearly. I liked them so much, I bought another package and sent it to my duaghter who is also a wine lover. Great product.

Review of Vinturi Deluxe 7-Piece Wine Aerator Set

Well, I'll be... this silly little thing actually works. How can you get the effect of decanted wine in the time it takes to pour a glass from a newly-opened bottle? After reading other reviews, I was convinced to try it, but after seeing it work I thought, "There's no way- that was too fast and too easy."

I was wrong.

I took 3 blind taste tests. I washed 2 identical glasses, opened a new bottle of Merlot, poured one straight from the bottle and poured the other through the Vinturi Aerator. I left the room and asked my wife to move the glasses to the table and call me when all the bubbles were gone. There was no question which one had been aerated. I picked it right away. Even when my son tried to tell me I picked wrong, I stood by my choice, it was that obvious. It softens the wine, releases the bouquet and created a silky finish. I took multiple tests and picked it right every time. My wife took turns testing and could tell as well.

I got an aerator for red and white so a couple days later I opened a bottle of white and did the same test and got the same results. The difference is enough that I won't have a glass without it now. Even wine I would normally open and pour and drink right away is now aerated, red or white, it makes a real difference.

I bought the tower, which is an added expense, but it's nice for parties so guests can serve themselves and not have to handle the aerator, just pour and enjoy. The quality of the parts feel solid, not cheesy plastic like I thought it would be. Taken care of, I don't see why these can't last for many years, and since it's just liquid and air, it should work just as well in 10 years as it does today.

I'm impressed and plan to show them off to my fellow wine enthusiasts at our annual New Years party.
