The product description sounded good, but in my unit, the argon gas cylinder last for about 1 day. So it works out at about $4 a go... Also the unit is very bulky. The gas dispense sits on top of a cheapo insulated container. Would have been far better if the gas unit was a small self contained unit, that you could use to just inject a small amount of argon into the bottle, before putting the cork back in.

A great idea executed poorly.

The unit is not a capable of cooling more than a few degrees below room temperature. We live in California and daytime summer room temperature when we are not home is 85°F. Wine is cooled to about 75°F, even when set on the coldest setting.

Temperature setting is wildly inaccurate, off by more that 10°F.

The unit puts out a LOT of heat under the unit, enough to heat the counter to 120°F. Bad design to heat the area below the unit as that heat is radiated up into the unit.

The power supply gets very hot, hotter than is good design.

The gas canister does not seal very well as it emptied in about a week with no bottle in the unit.

The bright LED to illuminate the bottle is silly. Light is an enemy of wine. The fans are quite noisy, too noisy to place the unit near a dinner party.

First unit died after a few days.
Replacement unit did not cool. Returned.

Bought the Vino Vault from Amazon a little over one year ago. Stopped working last week. I have been trying to find an owners manual. Called the company that makes the product. They said no manual. Also said that they can not repair their product. The company also said only 90 day warranty. I guess I have to look for a better product and a better company.

Review of Prodyne W-6-M Pewter Stemware Charms, Martini Bar, Silver

These are cute little baubles for putting on your wine glass. The charms are well made and clever. The wires that hold the charms are pretty thin and bend easily, so I wish they were a bit more substantial.

The silly ring that they came hanging on turned out to be a great thing. I hang all of my glass charms on it and then slip the large ring over the neck of a wine bottle (or some other bottle) in my cupboard, and they are kept nice and neat and readily available. Who knew that would be such a handy thing?

I do think the prices for these was a bit high, considering what they are made of. If you were crafty, you could make your own for less than half the price, which is what I will likely do if I need more.

1. It looks cool with the silver metal accents, tinted glass, illuminated interior with a cool blue light, and metal racks.

2. It keeps the bottles at an even temperature regardless of the ambient temperature which as anyone knows is the greatest factor in wine stability.

3. It doesn't have settings for humidity or dual-zone temperatures, but quite honestly I don't plan on keeping expensive 100-year old bottles stored in this thing that require such exquisite delicacy.

After buying one for my brother, I had to have one for myself, and for the rest of my wine-drinking friends and family.The Mekotrane corkscrew works perfectly every time, with absolutely no little pieces of cork left over to float in your wine.
The only quibble I have is with the foil cutter.It does its job, but not very well--I have several inexpensive foil cutters that do a better job than this one.But otherwise, it makes uncorking wine easy and fun.
