I also received a broken glass.I ordered two sets of 12, and ended up with 23 working glasses.They are made in Italy, so that is nice.The glasses are a little short for my taste, but they are decent quality for the price.

Review of Anchor Hocking Excellency 8.5-Ounce Wine Stem Glass, Set of 12

It appears that there is more than one style Anchor Hocking Excellency glass.
The type that I wanted is 5 3/8th inches in height. The Excellency type that I got is about 6 1/2 inches in height. Suggestion- Amazon should be more specific on the glass dimensions. It appears that your dimensions are for the box shipped.
Second-each glass has a bar code label on it. The label was placed on very well, as in not easy to remove, and that makes it time consuming to do so. I have never seen boxes of glasses with labels on each glass. Suggest that you speak to Anchor Hocking about this. I will be able to use the glasses, but they were not exactly what I wanted. I was looking for wine glasses as a gift to my mother...she wanted multipurpose (both red and white -appropriate) glasses to use for parties and entertaining.I ordered 24 glasses and when the glasses arrived, they were in the original cardboard boxes with very little padding - only a small plastic air pack and only around 1/2 of the box.One of the glasses had crumbled into tiny pieces in the box during shipping.Be aware of this when ordering...since we'd have to pay for shipping to exchange the broken set of 12, we ended up just keeping 23 intact glasses vs. the 24 I'd ordered.

Also, although these say "12 oz goblet" on the description, the actual glasses are specifically for white wine, which you'll see when you order them.

After a long search through stores and the 'net, I finally found these glasses.Most red wine glasses are too tall for the dishwasher to hold them comfortably, and/or too big or small, or too delicate.These are just right.White wine glasses are much easier to find.

The quality of the glass is good, but not as good as French plate-glass drinking glasses.They're not nearly as elegant as Riedel or Villroy & Boch, but don't need hand-washing.

It would be nice to buy just six of them, but the smallest quantity I saw sold was 12.At under US$2 a stem including shipping, they're inexpensive.

Needed large qty. of wine glasses for an office party ~ didn't want to
drink vino out of those dinky plastic cups so I checked around at various discount stores as well as online for some decent priced and
sized wine glasses.Wanted to keep it simple, not having specific
glasses for red and white ~ also didn't want the glasses to be too
large in size, preferably 10 oz. is ample enough to spread some cheer...

Review of Anchor Hocking Everton 8.5-Ounce Wine Stem Glass, Set of 12

Great price for a box of 12. Very nice, solid feeling glasses. I think these are perfect for parties or even everyday use, where I don't want to chance breaking my really nice stemware. At about $2.50 a glass I can afford to lose one or two now and then. These glasses have a 2-5/8 inch round base, a smooth 2-7/8 inch stem and a slightly tapered 4 inch bowl. The total height of the glass from table top to bowl rim is 7-1/4 inches. Shipping was a little slow, but all my glasses arrived in perfect condition. I also ordered a box of 12 Anchor Hocking Everton 6 ounce champagne flutes and the base and stem match the wine glasses perfectly. The bowl on the flutes is about 4-7/8 inches and the total height is 8-1/4 inches. Cheers!

These are super cute.I had high hopes that the kids would be able to use them to label their glasses of whatever they leave all over the place.We debuted these at a party and not one of the things would stick to anyone's glass.The kids actually wanted to use them, but they pop off after minutes.Now, sadly, they are mostly fodder for the vacuum cleaner, as they pop off and fall to the floor.
