This is the best aerator/filter I've ever used, hands down. I don't use this on my "big" reds, but rather on more delicate wines. The aeration is gentle, and the filter can be removed. It's easy to wash and store, and worth every penny.It also creates a picturesque "shower" if you don't use the filter and allow the wine to flow freely through the aerator. This is a plus, especially if you're entertaining guests that aren't oenophiles. They'll think you're wicked cool.
