I actually purchased this from AAFES, not Amazon. It is made in Thailand of solid wood. It assembles very quickly with heavy hex screws (included with wrench). It is lightly finished. It is very stable. The top easily doubles as counter top in a kitchen or as a wine and cheese table in a dining room/party area. The quality is excellent for the price.
