I bought two (2) sets (8 glasses total) of the Deep Red Wine stemware.The glasses are beautiful, and have the shape and feel of Riedel in many respects.
I must say they chip rather easily, compared to experiences with stemware manufactured by more prestigous companies.Word to the wise--don't put these in a dishwasher.My partner did this, thinking that because it wasn't a 'different' brand name, that they were somehow inferior and thus hardier against the jets.Treat these just like Riedel.
The glasses have a great feel in the hand, and the graft where the stem meets the base is smooth and well polished.The lip of the glass also more than passes muster, it's a sharp edged rim that typically tells the difference between good glasses and bad.
My overall recommendation is that unless your mission with entertaining is to impress with implements (rather than with the wine, the food, the host, etc.), buy these for even the best occasions over Riedel, given that these are nearly half the cost.I believe they offer an equivalent drinking experience.

This is the second purchase of Waterford Wine Glasses via Amazon and through this seller.The glasses arrived ontime and in mint condition.I'll continue shopping on Amazon and trusting them to deliver the quality I've come to expect every time.
The crystal was wrapped well and came in perfect condition.It actually got to me faster than I expected it.I was very pleased!It had the Waterford sticker, brochure, and company box.
I purchased two of these Waterford goblets as an engagement gift for my youngest daughter.They are truly beautiful. The "ballet ribbon" design makes for a simple yet elegant embellishment for the bowl of the glass ... but do not be fooled ... these red wine goblets are large and hold at least 20 oz. of wine.The stems appear to be very delicate, but that is totally misleading.They are sturdy, heavy-weight, leaded crystal, not delicate, easily broken glasses!
This glass is made in Slovenia and NOT Ireland. That wouldn't matter, but it's not the same quality and DOES NOT MATCH my existing glasses. The glass is thicker, and doesn't have the same crystal chime. The cuts are shorter and look more stamped than cut with softer, rounded edges. The rim is thicker and the shape slightly more squat.
I have loved this pattern for over 30 years. It is beautiful and classic. My daughter was washing dishes at Christmastime and broke one of her grandmother's Lismore wine glasses.I ordered this to replace it. It arrived quickly and in pristine condition. Thanks for the great service, Amazon!
We love these white wine glasses.Nice, uncut crystal.We have used at many parties and have yet to break one.They are fragile in shipping though.Great for everyday, but they dress up nicely too.
