Review of WMF Vino Foil Cutter

I used this at a party recently and was in awe... just put it on the bottle, spin, and off flies the top! It feels great in your hand, and looks gorgeous wherever it lands on the table... unlike other foil cutters available.Also - it's very difficult to cut yourself with this thing, and it's also tough to break. I notice it's not available on amazon right now - but I saw it at Williams Sonoma, so you can look there if amazon doesn't have it.

Review of WMF Vino Variable Wine and Processo Corkscrew

This is a fun little guy. If you enjoy manually uncorking. Kind of an art form. But this one is SMOOTH. Due mostly to the teflon coating on the spiral. The cork leaves the bottle before it reaches the top of the arch. The 18/10 smooth stainless really gives it an elegant feel and is quite substantial in weight as well. The dark plastic neck adjusters move outwardly to fit any neck size, but are only a centering mechanism, not a 'holding' device. A very well made thing, but not for the uncorking challenged.

Review of WMF Captain's Glass Wine Decanter

I spend a good two-three days researching decanters, trying to find the right one to give as a Christmas gift; you now, something elegant but inexpensive. I ended up purchasing the WMF Captain's Glass Wine Decanter but found that it really wasn't what I was looking for. It is a bit clunky, and the opening is not smooth; that is, it has a straight, square cut (but not sharp). Granted, I was trying to find something elegant, which this is not, but, even so, it will serve very well as a casual decanter. A decanter to be used when hanging around one Sunday afternoon, having lunch, or even watching sports, since, with all the excitement of the game, its sturdy enough not to be knocked over (i.e., it has a very wide base).
Overall, I gave it 4 stars, which it deserves, but just be careful when purchasing it, that you don't assume it will be something that will complement a nice dinner, but it will complement a casual affair.

Review of WMF Mini Easy-Pour Decanter

This thing rocks! It's small, cute, lead free, cheap, and incredibly light and easy to use & clean. I love it! It's perfectly sized for half a standard 750ml bottle of wine, so it pairs well with a vacu-vin or similar vacuum stopper (to save the half a bottle still in the bottle for another night). Of all the decanters I've tried (and several that I've bought), this is the one for us.It comes with an expandable stopper that would be ok if nothing better exists. I really like the vacu-vin manual pump-n-stopper sets, so I'm going to discard the little stopper this thing came with. But this is such a pleasure to use, and such a bargain, that I think I'll get a couple more and give 'em out at Christmas to friends.Highly recommended, especially if you drink less than a bottle a night (even if you intend to finish a bottle, this plus what's in your guests cups might be a very servicable approach). But it's really suited for an evening where you don't intend to finish an entire bottle, yet would like to decant the wine to let it breathe.

Review of WMF Vino Stainless-Steel 4-Way Funnel

Facts: The diameter of the aerating tube inserting a decanter is about 18mm or 3/4 inches. The diameter of the top funnel is 90mm or 3.5 inches. This won't insert to a neck of regular wine bottle -- you need a decanter. The straining mesh is just sitting inside the funnel and is removable. The two pieces making this product are easy to hand wash.
This product does aeration and filtration at the same time. Aeration is often used with young to medium aged red wine to smooth out the tannic flavor and possibly improve the integrity of the wine. Filtration is often used to remove solid material (twig, etc) often contained in bottles from more serious price range, and sediment formed from well aged wines. Some reds might even benefit from double decanting with aeration at each decanting. With this funnel, it is very easy and clean to do. White wines very rarely benefit from these steps, but this funnel at least looks great especially with a nice decanter.
This funnel can also be useful with other purposes, like removing spice and other solid material from drinks, sauces and broths.
