We purchased these glasses to replace one that my grandson broke at Christmas dinner.After much research, we found them at Amazon.com at the best price for a whole set.They were delivered as promised, and although they were well wrapped and packaged, we unwrapped the package and checked each one for possible breakage.They arrived in perfect condition! We can't wait to give them to my daughter-in-law as she will be as thrilled as we are.

I have Mikasa wine glasses (very heavy, nicely made) and purchased these as a gift for a friend who likes stemless. When they arrived I checked them out before I wrapped them. While they look cool, and are great for not getting your glasses mixed up if you have guests, they are light & cheap feeling. Not at all what I expected from Mikasa or for the money, maybe from Walmart at a cheaper price.

When my wife and I got married, we decided to do a square theme for our casual china and got square plates, glasses, and wine glasses. These wine glasses are quite stylish and look very good. The only problem with them is that if you're a real wine connoisseur it is a bit tricky to swirl your wine glass properly when it's square. With some practice I've gotten fairly decent at it, but it doesn't swirl as well as if it was round.

Review of Cristal d'Arques Longchamps Crystal Stemware Wine Glasses, Set of 4

This crystal is just beautiful! It is heavy, well cut, has a nice drinking edge, and sparkles under the light. My only problem is matching glass sizes. The descriptions don't give enough information to tell if the glass is the same size as ones I already have. Sometimes it goes by the oz.'s it holds but were do they measure to? half way up the wine glass? all the way to the lip? 1/2" from the lip? My suggestion would be to order as many glasses as you need at one time so you are sure you are getting the same size. There have been a few flaws in the crystal. One wine glass had a tiny sharp piece on the side. I think it can be sanded off, but I haven't tried yet. Another had a tiny dimple in the side that I tried to wash off :) until I realized it was in the glass. I ordered two pitcher and glass sets and one pitcher had a broken handle when it arrived; but I kept it because I would have had to send the glasses back too and I needed them for Chrismas, and the product was no longer available. Overall, I have been very pleased with the glasses. My guests at Chrismas oohed and awwed over the table and said it looked like something out of a magazine. I will be buying more water goblets and iced tea glasses until I have a whole set. I just hope they are all the same size :)

Review of Mikasa Park Lane Wine

I bought these glasses about 10 years ago and they are still my favorite glasses.I have 8 of them and also bought the Mikasa Park Lane Fluted Champagne and Mikasa Park Lane Goblet.I use both this wine glass and the goblet for wine since the goblet isn't much bigger than the wine glass.I use one for red and one for white wines.On holidays I usually put all three on the table and it looks so elegant, especially with candles on the table because the cuts in the glasses really reflect the light and it makes the whole table sparkle.

I always put these in the dishwasher and have been doing so for over 10 years without any problem.That's one of the reasons I bought these glasses.The glass is fairly thick and doesn't break easily.You'd have to drop them on the floor to break them.The last thing I want to worry about after a dinner party is washing all the glasses by hand.If it can't go into the dishwasher, I won't buy it!

It's funny that someone else here remarked that they've seen these glasses on tables in TV shows and in movies.I've noticed that so many times.Maybe it's because they're durable, not too expensive, and because they look so elegant.Every time I set the table I'm glad I bought these.

This was my first Amazon non-book/entertainment item. I have a new place, with contemporary furntiure and was looking for clear stemware, but not the same old, same old, plain clear kind. I was skeptical - but ordered a 20 glass assortment - these balloons, plus the white wine and martini glasses. They just came - in PERFECT condition, beautifully packaged, quickly shipped. They are, indeed, a "10" - but Amazon only allows us to rate them a "5". They are contemporary, thin-rimmed and - NOT made in China - but in France. Amazing. Believe me, I had taken many trips to the outlets (including Mikasa, Fitz & Floyd) Pier 1, Cost Plus, as well as at the pricier home goods stores in Southern California... The outlets could not match the Amazon price. Save gas, $$$$ and duck crowds. Go Amazon and wait a few days for your doorbell to ring. You will be very happy.
