This wine rack is sturdy and functional, and is very practical for conforming to small spaces (we have ours under the stairs).Well built.It's not particularly aesthetically pleasing, but gets the job done.Would definitely buy again.Great for closets our other spaces you don't necessarily want to display.

Review of Wine and Stemware rack (Natural) (8"H x 21"W x 10"D)

I lack a lot of under-cabinet space to mount hanging stemware racks and also don't have a lot of counter space for storing bottles properly on their sides.Searching for wine/glass storage opportunities proved to be somewhat difficult since I needed a tandem combo that wasn't too large and wouldn't pull down the kitchen wall.This one looked pretty good and not as heavy as some of the wrought iron pieces I was finding.

Installation may look tricky at first, but there are easy shortcuts.There are 4 components to the product: the metal brackets that attach to the wall, metal rods that screw into the brackets to support the rack, the wooden rack, and a metal apparatus on top for securing bottles.I attached one bracket at the height I wanted, then assembled the rack and raised the opposite side until it was level.I then drilled the pilot hole for my wallboard bracket and voila!I was done installing in about 5 minutes.

I was a bit worried at first because the setup seems kinda flimsy -- you have a metal plate on the wall with a metal rod that screws into it to support the rack.All that is holding the rack up is a 1/2 inch metal rod.I was anticipating the rod would bend easily with time.However, it has held up pretty well (1 year out now).

I give the product 4 stars because while it is aesthetically unassuming and does a small-time oenophile well, it has one or two flaws.The first is that the rack pitches downward very slightly.Maybe only 2 degrees or so, but enough to make an OCD person like myself a little anxious.Also the metal apparatus on top is not secured to the rack -- it just sits on top.The weight of the bottles holds it in place, but again, it's unnerving.

Review of J.K. Adams WSR-1025 Stemware Rack

Especially with the free shipping deal, this is competitive with any other prices I found for pre-assembled stemware racks.If you have a router and/or a compound miter saw you could probably build one a little cheaper, but for about twenty bucks, your time would have to be fairly cheap.

The rack is sized to accomodate our big 25-ounce Burgundy glasses just as easily as it holds our little port glasses and champagne flutes, thanks to the beveled rails that hold the bases of the glasses.It is a nice design feature which seems cosmetic but turns out to be functional.

The rack was absolutely trivial to install in our existing kitchen cabinet shelf; the included self-drive screws do not require pre-drilling.I found it less fatiguing to drive the screws in an 'X' sequence, so that after the second screw, I no longer had to support the structure while driving them.The entire installation took about 3 minutes, including removal of the glasses from the existing shelf, and replacing them into the rack. Not bad!

I much prefer this style of rack over the chrome wire-rail styles.

Review of J.K. Adams MWR-6-N Hardwood 6-Bottle Wine Rack, Natural

I bought this wine rack for my husband, and we both love it. Doesn't take up too much space on our counter, and it is attractive to look at. We painted it to match our kitchen, which was easy to do because the wood is natural, with no finish on it. It is also very sturdy. We did not have to use any glue to hold the pegs in place. I would definitely recommend this product toothers. Oh, and if it is to be given as a gift, another plus is that the box it comes in is very nice.

I didn't need anything except a rubber mallet to put this together.I didn't glue it, since I wasn't sure of the configuration I would prefer.I gave it a "step down" effect, which turned out just right.It's sturdy and unobtrusive.I bet I add more to it later on.
