Review of Laguiole Deluxe Foil Cutter, Stainless Steel with Wood Handles

This is an absolutely beautiful foil cutter; no one should be surprised by that. However, it doesn't actually cut foil - it spins, it wobbles, it makes erratic gouges in the capsule, but does it actually neatly and cleanly cut the foil? Hell no. On the other hand, if the reason you're thinking of buying a foil cutter is to make bottles you serve to guests so ugly that they won't want to drink very much, this may be a good idea - it'll make even a bottle of Petrus look unappealing.

The Screwpull Patented 4 Wheel Foil Cutter - Black may not look anywhere near as good as the Laguiole does, but it works perfectly every time - if you need a foil cutter, try that, not this.

Review of Curved Single Bottle Wood Stand Balances Perfectly

Received the wine bottle stand today in the mail and what a let down!! The stand is much smaller in scale to the wine bottle than is shown in the photo. The rack barely elevates lighter weight bottles off the table top (1" at most) with heavier bottles it is pointless. I would disregard the title that says "Balances Perfectly". I would stay clear of this stand and opt for a better one.
