Review of CorkPops Original Wine Opener

Hey, this works fine but I thought I ordered the one with the built in foil cutter and it twists to remove the cork.This works fine, but the other version I like much better...why...cork remover, foil cutter.

You ever struggled with a tempermental bottle of wine that did not want to get popped?Well, I have.When I was Christmas shopping a year or so ago, I saw this at the wine store, its demonstration seemd easy enough.But my struggles to open the as previously mentioned tempermental wine bottles worsened after my hand was severely injured.So I asked if I could buy it and return it if I still had little luck. My reluctance was at spending over $30 on something that may not have worked for me.So I took it home and never returned it.This gadget makes opening a bottle about as effortless as it can be.
You insert the needle in the cork and push down on the pressurized cartridge and it truly just POPS out.Then you use the Vacu Vin wine saver to seal off the bottle of leftover wine for later indulgence.Refilling the Opener is so very simple also.I highly recommend.

Review of Corkpops Black Legacy Wine Opener

When this thing works, it can open a bottle in a flash - under three seconds easily.The foil cutters are a real boon too, giving a tidy finish.
Unfortunately it will not always work.Very tight-fitting corks, especially synthetics, will sometimes fail to be shifted by the pressure, and a regular corkscrew is needed.More irritating is a problem with long corks, where it is hard to get the nozzle right through the cork.If they had added 2-3mm length to the needle, this problem would not exist, which is very frustrating.
In summary, worth the money, but make sure you have a backup just in case.
