Review of Luigi Bormioli Allegro 48-Ounce Carafe

The product feature description says made in Italy, not true, the box says made in China.
Very deceiving! The Carafe itself was scratched from the poor workmanship.Would I recommend anyone to purchase it, no, I would not.

Product Description:
Pour a glass smooth Zinfandel from this effortlessly elegant 48-ounce wine carafe from Luigi Bormioli's Allegro line of drinkware. Made in Parma, Italy, the Allegro carafe aspires to radiate its musical namesake's lively and cheerful qualities in its brilliant appearance and durability. While the carafe could adapt to serve chilled white wines, its application with red wines expedites the oxidization process so that the wine reaches its optimum drinking point quicker. The sleek carafe body narrows gradually from its base for a slight neck before the glass opens into a slanted brim capped by a discrete spout. The minimalist design only features one artistic flourish, an oval-shaped hole in the carafe's body that functions as a handle for pouring ease and style.
Crafted from the purest sands and natural materials, the Allegro carafe combines the time-honored Parma glasswork techniques with Luigi Bormioli's innovative 2007 development, the lead-free, crystalline SON.Hyx glass. SON.Hyx's clarity in both sonority and transparency rivals the finest crystal, even surpassing the old classic with its technical advancements in chip and crack resilience from the carafe's base to its spout. Dishwasher-safe, the carafe resists stains and spots, sustaining its original sparkle for over 400 wash cycles. A 25-year guarantee protects the carafe against any such discoloration and from any chips to the carafe's rim and base incurred under normal usage conditions. To accompany the carafe, Luigi Bormioli offers a variety of Allegro drinkware sets. The 6-4/5-by-4-2/5-inch carafe stands 12-1/2 inches high and weighs 3 pounds upon shipping.
